They can hold down prices for a year or two and take a hit to get enrollment stabilized.

And wasn't that part of the back room deals by obummer - to guarantee the insurance companies would be covered for any losses as the aca rolled out by wasting even more tax payer dollars.

But you understand that insurance companies have to make money or the system doesn't work. They can hold down prices for a year or two and take a hit to get enrollment stabilized. But at some point they're going to have to be paid what it costs.
They don't operate in a vacuum.......in NY and most other states, I think, their premiums must have state approval, so if they're faking it, the state is complicit....
