I believe most of the people in this country would LIKE some serious gun control. At least enough of it that every single person can't walk around the streets carrying a pistol. I don't think so. Principally because the evidence is that the problem isn't the presence of guns as is evidenced by the fact that limitations on the presence of guns doesn't help at all. One could argue, "It can't hurt." But it can and it will. Because it provides an illusion of having done something about the problem when you haven't. Like the War on Drugs. So, when the programs fails as it inevitably will, we will be decades down the road and everyone will have lost sight of the problem decades ago. War on Drugs. Just remember the lessons we've learned and the lives lost in the process. Same thing will happen with banning guns.

The fact that politicians outside blue areas won't support the gun confiscation you gun control people actually want shows you're wrong.
