Larry, You're right, the only thing that matters is the future ... where we differ is how we go about trying to figure it out... you use TA and more power to you if it works ... I look at the fundamentals ... things such as management quality (which shows up the type of acounting used), nature of the business, supply/demand for DRAM, etc... It sure would be nice if someone published this data 6 months out (exactly what Dataquest tries to do ... actually I would be more alarmed if Dataquest came out and predicted DRAM prices would keep falling for the next 6 months) ... but they don't. Now which way works best depends on the person. You and DavidG seem to believe that the forever bears never make money and I was thinking maybe I could hire one of you guys to represent me at Revenue Canada come tax time ... I can just see DavidG ... "Ah, since my client is a forever bear, by definition he could not have made the capital gains that you claim he did and therefore, ipso facto, your demands are totally unreasonable.
