The so-called "carried interest" loophole isn't a loophole; it has been in Subchapter K for decades and is a fundamental portion of partnership tax law.
You're describing special tax breaks...........

"Romney paid millions in taxes and he had substantial capital gain income."

How do you know that? Romney would only release two years tax returns which showed he paid relatively little taxes. Why wouldn't he release more returns? His daddy released a dozen years when he was running for prez.

That carried interest provision has been protected by politicians from both sides for years....in return for campaign bribes.
