I agree with a good piece below.. I just think that Asian crisis
would do for Unions what Clinton's presidency did for Congress-that is latter elected Republican Congress, former would increase power of Unions thus driving jobs even further from North-East to the South and hopefully not out of the country.

Are there really less folks employed or are there less folks standing in
line because their benifits ran out?

I my self don't want anymore of the same. It is an erronious number.
Being employed means that you are working. But working at what? Part time?
Your local Wal-mart? The government has made it so companies are putting
everyone on part time. It won't belong before 25% of the work force in
high tech jobs will be working out of their houses as subs. Its getting to
the point that you can't afford to have employees.
