Reserve currency, low oil prices and QE to infinity plus the worst of policies of both extreme ideologies the past 50 years allowed to continue that are keeping things together? How much longer can this go on without major ramifications? Is scary to have total control by one party again given what each has become. Which is worse expanding the nanny state and socialism even more or more wars and more trickle down?

>> Both the GOP and Democrats are Keynesian.

They are both pseudo-Keynesian. Keynes didn't believe in the kind of borrowing we're doing, even before the entire Keynesian idea had flopped, which it most assuredly had by the end of the Depression.

Keynes believed you could borrow for stimulus, but that the debt would be repaid. The United States will never repay its debt and at this point no one is even thinking about repayment. We are, effectively, stealing from creditors by claiming we'll pay them back when we clearly cannot and will not.
