<<Were there any remarks
about how much more inventory?>>
Reviewed my notes but couldn't find much. Some comments were made as far back as the good old days (when nearly evrerything was on allocation) that customers wanted them to carry more inventory. Perhaps someone in the industry can help us out but my gut reaction/guess is that we might be looking at an extra week of inventory. Nobody has really talked about JIT dramatically changing the way they do business (on the disk side). I would think it would benefit the more reliable suppliers such as IBM and Quantum.

<<You are up
early on a Saturday morning. :)>>
Yes. I gave up sleeping when I started owning disk drive stocks. Also, wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your informative posts. Provides a different angle from over there. Wondering whether you saw this carnage coming. From our viewpoint, the news just continued to get worse and worse but it appreared to have been fully reflected in the markets making it very easy to stay on the downward slope.
