TJ, Go visit the museum of Vancouver. They have a great exhibit on Happiness, one part says the more money you make the happier you are until you hit about $80k a year then it flattens out. Don't know if I believe that. There is also an exhibit on the history of Vancouver which is very good.

All is well, I take it. If you have a chance, go to Victoria, a city which in my estimation along with Edinburgh might be the most beautiful anywhere. Stay at The Empress Hotel for a treat.
