If Wendt leaves GE, LOOK OUT BELOW!!!

In a strategic management course this semester we had to evaluate GE's strategy.....THEY ARE STRATEGY GODS according to many profs.......

However, the primary driver of EPS, revenues, etc. has been GE capital.....In looking at strategy, a new leader should presumably be able to step in and replace any senior executive.....I don't think this will happen......Additionally, the firm's communication channels, organizational structure, etc...is based on Jack Welch's way of running a business...Very hands on.....If he leaves and a different kind of leader steps in, restructuring will occur...

Take care

Dan Ross

P.S. We got an A on the paper....MBA level stuff...very smart classmates, very hard driven...

P.P.S. I think MU (micron technology) is a good short.....commodity products....I need to listen to comments from the call though...Perhaps some overseas competition will go belly up, pushing spot prices up from these pitiful levels....
