It took 45 minutes using the Upgrade This PC option from the time I ran the .exe file. Don't freak out when the screen goes black for a few minutes a couple times during install.

So if you make install media like a USB or DVD, you will need your product key during the upgrade process. If you use the Upgrade This PC option, it does not ask for the product key.

Windows 10 and Privacy

Highly recommended is choosing Custom Installation for Windows versions 8.0/8.1/10.

Express Setup for Windows 10 is not recommended.

Turn Off most of the options related to your privacy while installing Windows 10.
