Marxism was never debunked. I think George Orwell did a fine job of debunking it.

Marxism has cost 100+M lives and failed everywhere but liberals in the US don't think that's a debunking. Thanks for confirming that .. it's one thing for me to claim something like that, but it's more instructive for you to come to bat for Marxism. The earlier marx was certainly a whole lot closer to our professed Christian moral "values" than atheist objectivist Ayn Rand. Actually they were both atheists and hostile to Christian moral values. Marxist implementations failed for the same reason capitalism fails - the communist party lusted for power and was corrupt and inept, thanks to the insiders. That's the old 'Communism hasn't failed, it just hasn't been implemented right' baloney.
