Where there are customers with money, INVESTORS FOLLOW.

If someone has a new idea; its only value to investors is if someone who can afford it, will buy it. You have to make the convincing customer case. I have been on both sides of the process of Angel investing, and startups looking for dough in biotech and tech.

Employees are an annoyance, and a cost, not the goal of investors. If they can automate or offshore 'em cheaper, so much the better to typical $$ investor.

Demand leads supply. Supply is worth nothing without customer money. Debt financing cant substitute for demand.

There are other ways to finance a company without going to investors. There is NO WAY have and sustain a real (non MLM or pyramid scheme) company without customers.

Amazon is pouring its money into growth. Growth is measured by CUSTOMERS AND SALES, not capital formation. The stock goes up because of the ROE based on SALES and GROWTH and DOMINANT MARKET (customer) SHARE. Without trading those short term profits for growth, they fear loss of dominance.

It's funny you should mention Amazon. They are a terrible example for your argument. Bezos is all about minimizing human employees at ever turn. Bezos has cost 5X the jobs he has created in small local businesses he has replaced in his tax-advantaged ascendancy.

Revenue from customers are not covering all of the bills, including the bills to pay employee salaries and benefits. Who created those jobs? Obama?

That would be Tesla and they're burning taxpayers money - not exactly investors in the sense we hold any stock or have any hope of a return.
