Bill, Gaddafi offered to give up his weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) and open his facilities to inspection in 1999 in (then-)secret talks with the Bill Clinton administration. I know you knew that, but rewriting history seems to be a hobby of right wingers, and others consistently on the wrong side of it. Bush pushed us into a trillion dollar war - a quagmire of epic proportions - to get non-existent WMDs out of Iraq. He simultaneously cut taxes while increasing deficit spending. This all occurred before he presided over the biggest economic disaster and downturn of this century.
