Jim, not to say that a rumor couldn't happen but if GTW were to get bought out by CPQ do you think the channel folks would be very happy?

What do you think a merger would do to CPQ stock short and longer term?

Pat

Jim, let me bounce a theory off of you.

Dell started a deline in September. Buyers at that time purchased around $100/share. There were a lot of shares traded since then. Therefore these shareholders since September can offset gains earlier in the year on Dell and other stocks by selling Dell at a loss and minimize their taxes.

This wave of selling has been in place since about the last time Dell was in the mid-90's my guess.

This selling pressure will end with the beginning of the new year.

If this is a dominate force right now then Dell and others like Intel should rally strongly in January.

Your thoughts, Pat
