Lighten up, Sal. The only conspiracy that counts around here is the international ilk conspiracy. If Microsoft purposely messed up IE for Compaq, it would be arrogant and vindictive, not conspiratorial unless they brought someone else in on the act.

Compaq (and IBM) have a lot of proprietary crap in their machines, in case you didn't know.

As opposed to all the open good stuff in Windows, presumably? But no, I don't think even arrogant and vindictive Microsoft would be so blind as to purposely ship code that messed up on Compaq computers.

Tonal clarification: this is sarcasm, sort of a form of humor, not serious commentary. Maybe Ballmer would approve, maybe not, but I find it fun in my warped sort of way. I don't presume any particular outcome in these matters, the law means what the judges say it means, and the final word won't be in for a while.

How 'bout dem Boys though, final word is in on them for the year. Oh how the mighty have fallen! I shouldn't rub this in, and won't bring it up again, but dem 'Boys were mighty graceless in defeat at GB, it was all the refs fault, the Packers were a dirty team, blah blah blah. I won't claim the trophy for the Pack till the game's played, but they're looking good. Fork's been stuck in those other guys.

Cheers, Dan.
