I would contact Norton support and spend a lot of time with them first before I'd pay some blackmailer $500.....but that's just me. Good luck.

Do a Google search of "rsa-2048 key". It will yield an article entitled: Your files held hostage by CryptoDefense? Don't pay up ... The article tells you how to get the key without paying. I hope this helps you.
