Yes Very Similar,

Upon completion of my thesis ( completed in record time ) at GMI - I had a wag over 91 which enabled me to go on to get a sponsored free MBA.

I had washed out of the Air Force Academy after being determined to be excessively color blind.

Getting my first degree was a 6 year experience. An experience of loneliness and poverty - but no debt.

GMI had work periods of 6 weeks and school periods of 6 weeks all year long.Three weeks in August I washed company cars at Chevrolet Central Office in Detroit.

The work sessions were all over the country - staying at Holiday Inns and working at many manufacturing plants - so that was the lonely part.I was a corporate Gypsy in training. Everything I owned had to fit in the back seat and trunk of my car.

I was so sick of the educational mind games and had been running a investment club for the last 2 1/2 years.

I wanted a full time job and paycheck - I was ready to go to work.

I'm planing on buying my Mom's house here in Wisconsin and have been accumulating dividends to do so.

I've been using cash to collateralize puts on stocks that are dividend aristocrats.

My rules for selling the put are the strike price has to be close to its 4 year low, and if put to me the yield must be 6.0 $ or better.

If I can yield 6% and have 20 % tax rate on the dividends and get a 15 year fixed at 3.0 % ,with an interest rate deduction, the investment plan pays the mortgage off and yields a greater cash flow that the mortgage payment.

I still have the capability to sell off the stock if it has a good run - and pay off the mortgage with fewer invested dollars.

The stocks I have targeted are T,GSK,KMI,HCP

It's a better use of cash and I am a very committed person to being debt free.

It is taking advantage of a unique historical time of ZIRP.

Just a thought for you to ponder.

Bob
