Very little health care spending goes overseas as far as I can tell.

A good friend of mine is paralyzed from the arm pits down and has been so for 38 years. I just sourced some daily medical supplies from chinese factories for him. He got a year's supply of hydrophyllic intermittent catheters for $US$.40 each versus US$2.50 each from a US medical supplier (He uses 5-6 a day). He has to pay for his own supplies, so this is a very big savings for him....Medical supply companies all overcharge for medical supplies. No doubt there is a large business opportunity importing and selling Chinese made medical supplies....

So health care mind boggling growth the past fifty years is not crowding out the real economy makes sense as we don't produce nearly as much as we once did, much of the need is there be it real due to technology or demographics or artificially juiced by government plus the multiplier effect of spending by the wage earners here at home is a net big plus? As usual the truth might be some where in the middle IMHO
