Hi John and all! Last week I got back to Arkansas after being gone for 10 mos. to find I have new neighbors next door. They are Californians. He was an executive with Gallo Wine and she an attorney. They are somewhat stereotypical Californians. No kids, upwardly mobile, very fit and with a garage full of toys. Except for one thing. They are both supporting Trump. Why? They agree with some of his positions but mainly it's because they are fed up with politics as usual and "find the idea of a president making decisions free of donors and lobbyists intoxicating." I'm also enamoured with this and have been watching Trump closely. My guess is that this is one important reason people are so willing, thus far, to put up with his habit of blurting out the first thing that comes to his mind.
