They can't be REAL Californians if they moved from CA to Arkansas. No REAL Californian would do that!

Howdy

"find the idea of a president making decisions free of donors and lobbyists intoxicating."

I find the idea of a Gallo exec making decisions intoxicating. Ask him if I'm still supposed to boycott them. BTW, when you are your own donor and your own lobbyist, you don't need to hire anybody to look out for your interests, cuz that would be a waste of money. You just have to convince people you love them more than you love yourself.

We have conservative bastions in California e.g. Orange country.

Trump has a sociopath personality, is a gangster, a narcissist, offensive and sort of crazy. How can that be better? Only someone who cannot connect the ingrediants for a happy well functioning society would choose Trump over Obama. They sound like ignorant Californians.

Obama is smart, solid, measured and thinks before he speaks. Stock market straight up during his time, dollar high, inflation low, deficit much better than under bush, low unemployment and no new wars.

So what is their bitch exactly?

Greetings, Kate. Good to hear from you and to have you on the thread. So if you have been out of Arkansas for 10 months, where have you been? Doing anything interesting?

As for your neighbors, I'm beginning to develop a different thesis about Trump and some of his supporters that's not about fed up with politics but about a much more robust state--check most of his views on immigration, taxation, and so on, all of which require much more state involvement than is presently the case. And thus much more political action. Since those positions are not only not well developed but largely ignorant of how to accomplish them, I'm beginning to work on a thesis that some of Trump's appeal is to folk who want a strong man, one who ignores the usual checks and balances of the political system, to simply enact stronger measures.

Very, very dangerous stuff.
