I own so much of it I should be a director of a few of these companies :)

Well, if you become the director, start some stock buyback program. I don't see any widespread buybacks except for a couple here and there like BJS.

Mike,
Thanks for the encouragement. FGII is now my biggest holding. I've been accumulating for the past week. Though I started accumulating too early, my last order was filled at 27.50. My average share price is now 31.00. I have no more dry powder and am not bold enough to buy more on margin so I guess I'll just sit back and wait for the rubber band to pop.

well, I finally couldn't stand this without jumping in again. Bought a handful of the FGII Jan 30s for 1 15/16. If we rally some, will sell the Jan 35s against em for ~ 1. Jeez FGII announces another .25B in new contracts and we fall anotherpoint or so. Man when will this end?

I guess I shoulda bought Yahoo or Amazon, and wait till the year 2000 till we may make a penny. I'd be ahead.

Dave

Is this the contrarian view? The better the earnings, the better a chance of succeeding by shorting a stock. Companies that are most successful have their stocks trashed. Judging by this sector it would appear to be the case. I'm really wondering if these companies should just keep all their good news to themselves. Everytime they have something good to say they get slammed.

Does anyone have any idea if we will see a turnaround in the foreseeable future?
