Yardeni, on CNBC'sPower Lunch, didn't say anything about y2k remedies at all. Very general comments. Just talked about the potential seriousness to the economy as a whole (he estimates a 40% chance of a significant recession in 1999) of a spending slowdown due to the necessity to address y2k problems. A little disappointing if you were hoping for a mention of embedded chips, for example; but any comments that call public attention to the impending emergency are good news for tpro, and his remarks did do that.
