Again, reference to .25mu processes ("next generation") - why don't these analysts upgrade Cymer?:

RESEARCH ALERT - Advanced Tech (NASDAQ:ATMI) upgraded

Reuters, Monday, December 22, 1997 at 12:24

LOS ANGELES, Dec 22 (Reuters) - Hambrecht and Quist analyst
Gus Richard said he upgraded Advanced Technology Materials Inc
to strong buy from buy, saying the recent sell-off in the stock
appears to be overdone.
-- "We believe that the semiconductor manufacturers must
continue to produce chips even if they are unprofitable in
order to offset depreciation," Richard said.
-- "This drives the continued consumption of materials,
roughly 70 percent of ATMI's business," he said.
-- "We expect overcapacity to drive semiconductor
manufacturers to accelerate the adoption of new process
technology and migrate to next-generation devices. We believe
that this will accelerate the adoption of ATMI's
next-generation products."
-- shares were up 1-1/4 at 21-3/4.

>>>Stay focused and hang in there. You'll be rewarded.<<<

I hope so...several months ago I was up 30% in CYMI, now I'm down almost 50% on my 3600 shares. I'll tell you one thing, Cymer makes ASND look like a star performer in my portfolio! ;o)
