Valueman: Globalstar will have to perform the same processing at their gateways that I* will complete on their satellites. There is no hard information that G* will have less of a delay than I*. All information available states completely the opposite. G* still has a few other competitors that will use the CDMA spectrum, TRW Odyssey was not the only one. For that matter I* has TDMA all to themselves, all of the rest will crowd into the CDMA spectrum

Valueman: In what type of scenario would anyone want to use any satellite phone from within the confines of a cement and steel building. If you are so all fired up concerned about costs, then just pick up the phone that is undoubtedly sitting on your desk. Incoming calls will tie into land based lines.
