JHMO - I think this is why value investors excel in the micro and small caps. EMT works great when info about the company is disseminated frictionlessly. That happens because the company is big enough to have to make detailed disclosures, and big enough to generate some IB business and attract analysts. What analyst cares about tracking down some obscure filing for MBNC? Warren was buying AmEx as a youngster, he was trading off the pink sheets and driving around making sure the companies actually existed. So for me it's been long the small caps and "not long" the large caps in cases where there is a strong conflict of interest between the IBs/ activists/ overincentivized managements and individual investors.
