"We have a New Testament in Hebrew and the Lords actual name given Him at His (Circumsion) was Yeshua Ben Yosef." The Holy Spirit chose the Greek language to write the New Covenant inspired Scripture. With the exception of the Gospel of Matthew which was written in Aramaic, the entire New Testament was inspired in Greek. The New Testament was not written in Hebrew. How strange someone would try to imply that they are going back to the orgininal Hebrew of the New Testament. God had a deliberate plan when He chose the Greek language instead of the Hebrew--leaving the old covenant for the New---A New Covenant for a New People. The chosen People of God are now the Christians of every nation of men. I suppose the messianic Jews also refuse to read the Gospel of Luke and the Epistles that Timothy wrote with St. Paul. The Old Testament was translated into Greek by the ancient Israelites (no relation to the modern Jews) in aprroximately 300 B.C. and was the most widely used Old Testament Scriptures among the ancient Jews--the Jews of Jesus's day and before. The Greek translation of the Hebrew Scriptures was recognized by all ancient Hebrew authorities. The quotations from Jesus indicate that He used mostly the Setuagint in His pronouncements. A very important example to illustrate the Holy Spirit inspired Septuagine is the tranlation of the Hebrew word Almah meaning "a young mariagable woman". In the ancient Hebrew culture, a mariagable woman meant that the woman was a virgin. The virginity is understood and no explicit. When the Hebrew scholars in 300 B.C tranlated from the Hebrew to the Greek, they chose the word virgin for almah in Isa. 7:"14: Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.." This was and is the clear meaning and intention of the word almah in Hebrew. Modern antichirst Judaism used this discrepancy to attack the translation of the word virgin as erroneous. When modern antichrist Rabbis are permitted to sit on Christian committees translating the Bible, they always insist on removing the word virgin relating the the mother of Jesus. A good example is the "Good News" tranlation. By putting one Rabbi on the committee of the "Good News" translation, Judaism was able to blasphemously pervert the Word of God. He casued them to change Luke 1':27 to "young girl" instead of the accurate word virgin.(Another victory for the Talmudidsts.) There authority comes from the Babylonian Talmud which I quoted earlier. They feign scholarship but are simply haters of the truth. Incidentally, the Greek Orthodox Church still used the original Greek New Testament as it was written by the Apostles and Disciples--no translation here. I do not think there is anything divine in the Hebrew or Greek language, but it was God choice for the old and New Covenant. Since the Holy Spirit choose to use the Septuagint fo The absurdity, pride and arrogance of modern Judaism never fails to astonish me. Another interesting point about messianic Jews. The most absurd usage of the so called messianic Jews that I have seen is the usage of the word G-d for God. They pretend that because of their great reverance for the name of God they will not speak it or write it. They do not, however, hesitate to speak or write the name of Jesus or Jeshua. If they really believed that Jesus is part of the Trinity, shouldn't they write Jesus as, J-s-s. I guess they don't consider Jesus as Devine as God--G-d.(They simply drop the vowels to act as if the are "sanctifying" words. The practice originated with the Babylonian Talmud. Very revealing.
