And I doubt we will see it even as it hits us on the head. Which it is.

1,000 year flood my ass. Watch the sout east turn into a swamp.

A lot more moisture is headed their way.

Well, The thing that has been hanging over next week, besides 2 hours to an airport and 4 hours of planes and airports is my dawg. I checked with Hanabal about leaving him there back when we set up the weekend-end, but he started limping badly last Fri, and I was wondering if maybe I should put him to sleep instead. Talked with H about it, and he said he'd come over to help dig a hole for him, if I did. I was still undecided, but last night, he licked up the remains of my TV dinner, went out to take a dump, and vanished. He's usually back after 5 minutes, so I went looking for him after 15 minutes, and... nothing but his last present. Went off somewhere to die.

IIRC, Red walked into our lives Election Night Y2K, and he walked out again last night. Our lives, cuz Hanabal had him for a while, and then Syracuse did, and then back to me when I retired in '08. We're not sure how old he was when he showed up, but his teeth were already somewhat worn, so maybe even 3 or 4. He had a good life.
I wish him endless fields full of rabbits to chase.
