I am a shareholder of ACMI and enjoy reading the meaningful comments from this thread. I, too, am looking for better things to happen in '98. Right now, however, I need someone to answer a couple of questions about costing split shares of stock before year end as I am trying to plan for taxes. Question: What do I use for cost purposes of a stock which I had bought many years back and sold this year after it had split? Do I use what I paid for the stock originally, or do I use the value of the stock on the date of the split? This is new to me so I would really appreciate a reply from some of you knowledgable investors who have been through this. Thanks for any help you can give. Bob Morris
