Every gun can do that, ever car or truck or piece of heavy equipment can do that

Apples and pineapples, Tim. Cars, trucks and heavy equipment aren't designed to kill lots of people. Guns are.

An argument can be made that semi-automatic weapons should be banned. Like in Australia.

Its not true that every car owner is.

Then they are breaking the law.

Do you need a license and insurance to drive a car?

I've driven heavy equipment and I never had a license or insurance to drive it but I ASSUME the companies that I worked for had quite a bit of insurance. If I had run somebody over with a front loader I'm SURE somebody would have had to pay for it.

Do people drive cars without insurance? Sure, but usually they don't get away with it for an extended period.

As far as AR 15's or other guns like that, WHAT'S their purpose other than killing people?

I'm sure they're fun at gun ranges but they don't seem appropriate for home defense or hunting.
