CJ, Obama had to have some response to Putin that doesn't involve putting Stingers in the area. I think it isn't wise, but I can understand the politics behind it. I don't see the politics behind doing anything ineffective, unless Obama thinks the situation in Syria will simply improve on its own and he wants to be "present" for it. In any case, there is a clear lack of leadership coming from the Obama administration. He hasn't defined any goals or priorities, other than to avoid getting ourselves into a quagmire, and even then he's doing a poor job at it. Tenchusatsu
