>>>Not a sales pitch. You profess to be a trader with knowledge. I've simply pointed you to a source that every networking company uses for projecting market growth and success and one which every trade "rag" uses for references. Your lack of desire to subscribe is your loss and could have some impact on your trading success. <<<

There is a difference between trading and investing, you know it and I know it, right? I've owned some of my ASND shares from March as CSCC. This Fall I began accumulating as ASND fell. I've been long on ASND ever since -- I haven't traded this stock since September, I think. If I'm only invested for the longer-term in this one networker, why should I subscribe to a service that would cover much more than I need to know? Also...the Dataquest, Infonetics, Dell'Oro, etc....these reports are often published publicly in some shape or form and distributed through newswires, and they are reputable research firms as well.

One of the advantages with trading is that I really don't need to follow fundamentals as long as there are suitable trading characteristics in a stock. So I wouldn't subscribe to Vertical for my CSCO trades either.

>>>You question my sources (Vertical Systems) and would have me break the law to send you this material, but you are somehow immune in that you do not have to send me your material (Infonetics) or provide me with a working URL.<<<

It's supposedly illegal to paste copywritten articles to discussion forums, too...but we all do this. I thought email would be less visible if that was your concern.

I did provide the link to the Infonetics report in the first post that I mentioned the statistics. I believe I have the actual report archived at the Fool...I'll look for it tonight -- we should trade.

>>>As for your post #11385. I will not dignify that with an intelligent response since it does not require one.<<<

I don't know about that post #, but I assume you mean on the CYMI thread. That wasn't supposed to be a serious post...I just turned it around on you -- my comments were just as fictional and misinformed as yours. I doubt you've been following the CYMI or ASND thread long enough to have any idea about my long positions in those two stocks.

>>>I simply pointed out that you appear to be having limited success to spite your commentary in this forum. If you're going to air all your trades and positions in public then you should expect this type of commentary. If you can't take it, stop posting your positions and try to be a bit less volitile.<<<

Limited success? I'm not sure just how you assume to know the status of my portfolios, but if that's your conclusion, so be it. Anyone can assume anything they want here.

I don't air all my trades and positions. I was challenged to announce my short on the CSCO thread because of my bearish views. You know this very well. Why should I not take up the challenge? If I had lost my ass, you wouldn't mind.

I don't mind the commentary at all, that's what SI is all about. When have I complained about it? But what I post is my business -- if that happens to conflict with your interests, or your philosophy about investing, or your sense of right/wrong, by all means comment. But don't expect me to conform to your way of thinking, or to say what you want to hear. This is a varied and colorful market and no one person's beliefs re: investing/trading makes him/her right. What works for me probably doesn't work for you...vice-versa.

And if you're going to bring up my investments, at least have the decency to use accurate information. You have no idea what my strategies are for each of the stocks you mentioned, how long I've owned them, my avg. cost basis, my reasons for owning them, etc. If it matters so much to you, why don't you just ask me what they are? I have nothing to hide.
