Of course you didn't offend anyone. You stated a basic truth. I'm sure Jesus in his babyhood was definitely referred to as the son of Joseph. WHat? Would he be called the son of Ephriam? Hezekiah? Or, of course, called Jesus Son of the New Covenant, as Emile would like. It just reminded me of my own problem with Joseph, especially after Emile flared up once again in full force over the most harmless of statements. Good grief, give me strength..

IS there a direct geneology to Joseph, the man that married Mary?

Interesting if there is. I missed that completely, and it at least explains a little about Joseph. I'm off to work, unfortunately. I hope we can ocntinue to discuss very, very interesting points of the Bible that might
make other thinks clearer, if it is not done in a mean-spirited manner.
