Open interest in call options continues to rise. There are about 6,000 open call lots (various strike prices) against only 250 open put lots (various prices).

To me, this is very, very interesting. Why so much open call interest? I don't understand all of the dynamics of options trading, but would think that more call interest indicates that investors expect the price of the underdying security to rise (option to buy).

Anyone else have a take on this?

As far as the finish at $4 11/16, I'd have to say I'm extremely satisfied that we didn't blow a new bottom after the resig. of Masuda. Those with the big shares are holding at these levels, clearly. I hope VLNC could come out with a pre-1998 announcement so that we can get some share appreciation!

re: 'buyout' rumour

Am i missing something or did this
'buyout' rumour not start with
post #1790 which said just one word
on the subject: 'buyout'.

Might I suggest with all due respect
that fanning this one word into a
rumour is, to put it bluntly, stupid?

If i'm missing something, i apologize
in advance for my rude remark.
Otherwise let's keep up the tradition
