Shalom, as I've stated before, my intentions here are not to debate Mary, but to discuss "the signs of the times". I offered the links in reference to many things written by these people relating to the current state of world events. I'm not Catholic, but sense becoming aware of this material and others, with much prayer, I've attempted to look at it and at scripture to see if it has any relevance. So here goes throwing out my original intention...(If not interested in my thoughts on Mary, click NEXT) You asked, "do you sincerely believe that Mary, the Blessed mother of our Lord, who maintained a very low profile while Jesus was alive would now find it necessary to take a front row seat?...And bring her plan to mankind?...The word of God does not speak of such a plan.! Why would Mary? The 12th chapter of Rev. speaks of ...a woman clothed with the son, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head... I believe John to be speaking about Mary in this chapter. I have come to believe she will be involved in God's plan for the final days. I sugest rereading this chapter for yourself to see what the Holy Spirit may reveal to you. Some other thoughts ... Sin entered the human race through Eve, a woman. Christ, our salvation, entered this world through the womb of Mary, also a woman. Christ, speaking to John from the Cross, said in John 19:27 ...Here is you mother... Was Christ not speaking to us also... not to worship, but to respect. Just something to think about. I don't worship Mary and I am not proposing it, yet she was a very special person in the life of Christ. I think she deserves our respect. It was the men who fled, not the women. God so loved the world that He gave his Son to die for us. Mary so loved God that she also gave her son to fulfill God's will. Not that she could have stopped God's plan, but I believe she probably knew before the disciples did, what was going to happen. She suffered a great loss as well. We should not ignore what she went through as a mother. As I said, just thoughts. When John Paul II was asked about the visions, healings, and other miraculous events that have happened in Medjugorje (a remote village in the former Yugoslavia) and other sites around the world in the last two decades of this century, he replied ... "While the church has not officially recognized these events . . . if people are finding faith, others returning to their beliefs, praying more, and returning to church, who am I to say this is not of God. I'll respond it the other questions shortly. In Christ, Scott
