Hi Gabriela,

Thanks for answering! I can understand you feelings about Mr. Yardeni. But with all due respects, I think arguments are more important than certain feelings about people. So here follow some arguments:

The argumentation of Mr. Yardeni seems valid enough to me (look at my other postings if you like; to see what I mean).

One of the things Yardeni (and others) mention is that Europe indeed is behind the US in many respects. So even when most of the US firms will make it in time (which I doubt); European and Asian firms are in much deeper trouble. As the US is not an isolated state, US co's and citizens will feel the impact of the y2k problems of Europe and Asian countries.

A mayor recession or worse (as a result of y2k) will have a marked effect on the POG (down or up is still open for me; probably up).
