The FED is an independent central bank as it should be. It makes no difference what political party is in charge. The president doesn't recommend a FED chairman based on politics.

The RW nuttys who want to abolish the FED are crazy dinosaurs.

That last chart is just gibberish.

As far as I know the HIGHEST Federal Funds Rate that Volcker's FED established was 20% in June of 1981.

I believe you are mixing up the prime rate with the Fed Funds Rate again.

You're talking about the rate hitting 20% 4 different times...that makes no sense.

That's the Prime Rate...
