Depends on the application. P or Power is equal to E times I or
Voltage times current so here power is "directly" proportional
as a Function of Voltage and Current. It is Equal to the square
of Voltage or Current when Resistance is a Variable in the
Circuit.You are correct about the Frequency.

Yousef, re: power consumption prop to f or f^2? If you get the higher frequency by increassing the current in the transistors (Idsat), then the power goes up as the square of frequency. I was trying to estimate how much power a desktop K6 would draw running at a higher Vcc (2.1v) compared to the notebook's 1.8v or so.
