I think video cameras and phone cameras are probably the biggest factor in the decrease in crime.

I was thinking about being a hired killer for a while but then I realized it's so TOUGH now to kill somebody and NOT be filmed either doing the deed or leaving the scene.

It's the same thing for robbery.

The idea that a guy was carrying would have made NO difference. The guy would have been dead before he could even think about drawing his gun. If I knew he was carrying a gun it would have provided MORE incentive. I could get his cash and his gun which would be worth at least a 100 bucks.

As far as stopping a shooter that was just out to kill as many people as possible I guess a guy "carrying" could save a few lives, but unless he's really good with his gun or very sensible he might actually kill more innocent bystanders than he saved.
