Did anyone see the price action in CSGI today ????

Lots of buyers coming in late in the day. Looks like tech might have to start buying on Friday.

tech, looks like you are dealing with stuff WAY over your head.

Since an investor can choose to use either the trade date OR the settlement date for tax purposes, anyone can sell for a 1997 tax loss as late as January 31st.

Perhaps you should stick to mutual funds?

Remember that most brokers have a 3 day settlement period, so it would be wise to do you tax loss selling either today or Friday.

Now, for anyone wanting to know the FACTS...

Yes, you can still take a tax-loss on stock sold today, Dec. 31st.
All you have to do is report the transactions by the trade dates rather than the settlement dates.

Take your loss in CSGI today, and start the New Year fresh.
