I own CPLP, have had a bit for years, from $8 down to $5 up to $10 and now back down to $5.00.

I think the stock could bottom or rebound once investors see that its dividend stays solid.

The dividend seems to have been solid throughout 2015, and the shares have gone from $10.00 in April to $5.00 now.

Come on, $10.00 in April with a 9.3% yield looked great.

$5.00 today with an 18.6% yield looks even better.

As far as I know (which is not much, the fundamentals for CPLP haven't changed much since April 2015, they were good then and they remain good now.

So.....what is the reason for the decline from $10 to $5? I really have no idea other than macro stuff (sell MLPs regardless of MLP specifics? sell companies exposed to global macro economics regardless of company specifics?).

I'm also interested to read from anyone who sold CPLP below $8.00 why they sold it. I don't know the bear story.

CPLP/TNP: I like CusterInvestor's positive commentary on TNP at Income Investing

Message 30383776

I don't follow CPLP. Have a few shares of TNP, am a buyer at current price. Few shares only.

Will oil tanker companies like TNP benefit from the recent change in laws that allow the US to sell oil overseas? Or would this not be their domain?
