Confidence in the system is a key component and it's quite clear that asset and fund managers in China don't have that at this time. It will be very interesting to see what the regulators and officials decide to do over the next few days. It seems to me (from a great distance away) that there's a little too much tinkering going on and it may be better for them not to do much and let the market settle down. Honestly, I don't know enough about their inner workings to give advice on this subject..... There were years of propping up their currency and nearly constant cries from the west about the situation. Might be those hens have come home to roost?
