They are attacking it from the back door, front door & ground floor.

Good summary about the E-Commerce Sitauation as 1997 comes to an end.

news.com

Article does confirm that OFX was Checkfrees' brainchild, endorsed by MircoSoft & Intuit. That company really impresses me.....it's ideas and services are everywhere.

The one I worry about is Excite. As time goes on doc it is harder and harder to enter the market.....from Excites recent comments 'Spending a Million today....means we don't have to spend 10 Million next year...for the same effect'......something like that anyway. So the barrier is going up.....if you listen to Excite management by 10 fold in 1998.

All in all....I think Intuit management did a pretty good job of getting the company focused on the net in 1998, not to mention these two great investments....to have all three mentioned in a positive light....is good for starters as they pioneer this thing foward.

There was money to be made in that expectation.....hopefully there is money to be make in the end result.
