Have to go to a dental appointment (also no great fun)... Will get to this later. About USO - I think it's good for a relatively short term position, but for the longer term, it suffers from a downdraft. Check where it was in 2009, when the oil was at around the same price as now - and where it's now. Never looked into the mechanics, but I think this is related to the way front month futures rotate - meaning, the contango/backwardation interplay, as well as - possibly - other costs involved. Anyway, for the long term, it's a good short, at the right time - but not a long.

Appreciate the points on HP and NOV.
Thoughts on PTEN? Heard they were well managed too.

Re crude, try UWTI ... 3x so it can burn you. UCO for less. BNO, OIL, USO also. UHN, UGA as well.

Also ... any word you're hearing on MLP dividends? Cuts? Gotta think so at some point.

Another ETF there .. MLPL. Listed at 25% right now.

Probably won't rally til dividend cuts are announced or we get some BKs to clear the air.
