One day, if Janet Reno destroys Bill G's software business, that time might be looked back on in 50 years as being the beginning of the end of the great era of the USA Bullocks!! They said the same thing about Standard Oil, Cities Services (the only company in the history of the market to be forced to breakup TWICE), Ma Bell and all others that strove to become monoliths that choked off competition, which arbitraily keep prices artificially high. Case in point, what is the price of MSFT O/S? Without competition they have the luxury of keeping that price articficially high. Win 95 is still selling at around what it was introduced and NO WORD of when the cut off point in upgrade to '98. In a competitive environment, that would have been forced down to retain a majority market share. That doesn't exist and may not happen until Apple comes out with their cross platform OS or with todays news, IBM NC. No alternatives causes high prices. I'm always on the side of competition and governement ensuring that we have competive pressures. It translates into cheap prices, better innovation and lower unemployment. IF MSFT falls, it was because of it's own shortsightedness and greed that drove it there. Yes Bill G is evil, he wants it all, and I choose to continuously lobby my government in the form of letters and E-mail to Congress, DOJ and FTC. Enough letters and squeaky wheels will get the grease. I'm not the only one that's doing just that squire. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DOWN WITH GREEDY MONOPOLIES AND WANNABEES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
