Iqbal, Bart, Tim, Chuck, Ken, Getcher, Mozer and all other contributers A happy 1998 and holiday seasons.
It is almost 8 months since I peeked into this thread and made
a few friends. I am still learning to be a good investor rather than
a trader. I learned a lot about investing and trading.
Hope future will be better than the end of this year.
Personally Iam almost where I started but learned a lot about
being patient and nimble.

On ASEAN situation Iqbal's analysis is very succint and upto
the point. But the has the perception problem and that may lead
to highly irrational swings. Anyway side way trading is going to
be the habit for another few months.

On MSFT, I agree that Jan 13th (or 14th) will be a crucial day and the
price decline to near 100 is not unreasonable.

raj, if equipments are sold to ASEANs so that they eventually make products for U.S. then why would they stop spending?

if TSMC is buying amat equipments so they can produce chips for their U.s. clients aren't they going to to continue to buy to reduce their cost?

and why will servers be impacted and not PC? i think the otherway.

servers are going to make out like bandits next yrs.
