Sonki,
Let me explain in the context of Korea...since I'm involved in marketing mid-range special purpose computers there. The crisis has left them shell-shocked and they will shy away from any capital expenditure, especially imports till the panic in the market and economy subsides...this should take anywhere from 6 months to a year.
Now the reason i said servers will be affected and not PCs are because most PCs in Korea for instance are made domestically by LG, Samsung etc....while almost all mid to high end servers (UNIX,
mainframes, etc.) come from HP, SUN, DEC and IBM.
Personally I think that the Korean economy is far too strong and advanced and this crisis is good medicine...unfortunately sometimes, the wrong people pay for it!
