Jim, The doping technology they have developed is one millionth of a micron vs 400ths Intel developed. Pushes chip cell density into a new classification allowing for smaller wafer dice. Way down the road this might give AMD alone capacity for 200 to 500 million chips alone.

The Fujitsu process implantation technique might solve one of
many, many process problems that need to be resolved before .05um technology
can actually be manufacturable. Lithography is probably a harder challenge
and a good example ... what technology for lithography will be capable
of producing a billion .05um FET's for a CPU.
