End of year price cuts --- both chips and systems

As noted previously Intel cut its PII-233 prices. It should also be noted that Compaq's Presario system with the Cyrix Media-GX 180 and the modem, sound card etc. including the monitor (all CPQ system) is selling for $699.

If that is the shape of the next quarter in terms of where prices are going......
