Oh no. Iomega definitely won't make their quarter now.

I just spent some time doing channel checks. What a nightmare!!!

Computer City(Tandy) has Zips for $89 after rebate. They only had 300 drives stacked up very nicely. About $25K of product. Not including all the discs they had.

Before that, I was in Fry's. I counted. They had over 4000 discs on the shelf, and hundreds of zip drives. Over $80K of stuff!!! Selling discs for $10 in 10 packs, new zips for $118, refurbs for $99. Zip Pluses for $169.

That's 2 stores. Not including Jaz drives.

Now, multiply that by hundreds of stores like them nationwide like Best Buy, CompUsa, Costco etc. And, of course, add in all the stuff the mail order houses have. What do you have?

A total blowout quarter. There is absolutely no way that Iomega won't make their number this quarter. The stuff is flying off the shelves.

Merry Christmas all. IMO you'd be foolish to sell any shares now. But, of course, that's just my opinion.
