I misspoke
About the only "safe" jobs that pay well will probably be fixing cars and other tech gadgets that fail, servicing our overly tech loaded homes and plumbing.
Entertainment will always draw high pay also. Getting millions to have your brains bashed to mush will always appeal to some, be it boxers, MMA or those hoping to win the Stuper Bowl.

Also, shaking a pretty ass and carrying a tune while dancing suggestively or singing "boy band quality" music for preteens will always make you a bundle...

Agree with your thoughts as posted. IMHO, It's been going on for more than 30 years. I've said for many years that unemployment should have a mandatory retraining element attached to it. I think that would help but it would not eliminate the problem of technology replacing workers. An interesting proposal was made years ago to have corporate and individual income taxes eliminated and have a national sales tax and tariffs to raise money. I'll do a search and see if I can find more info on it. Remember when we discussed the cash underground economy on this site? Some of that needs to be captured for revenue. Just my two cents worth for today.
